Attitude of a Champion
Help Your Young Athlete Build Their Mental Edge.
Mental Edge Training Programme For Young Athletes
Tailored for athletes aged 12 -18
Developing a great athlete starts with developing a strong mind. The mental edge training programme for youth athletes helps young champions build confidence, resilience and a stronger mindset.
Breaking the mental blocks
Being a young athlete isn’t always easy. Between school, training, competition, friendships, family expectations and the pressure to succeed, young athletes often face challenges that extend well beyond the sporting arena.
Even talented, physically fit and dedicated young athletes can struggle with performance anxiety, fear of failure, self-doubt, loss of confidence or the pressure to meet expectations. Sometimes, personal challenges and everyday stresses can affect their concentration, enjoyment of sport and ability to perform at their best.
As a parent, you want to see your child succeed, enjoy their sport and develop the confidence to believe in themselves. But how can you help when the biggest obstacles aren’t physical, but mental and emotional?

Supporting More Than Sporting Performance
The teenage years are an important period of personal development. The mental skills young athletes develop through sport can also help them navigate challenges in everyday life.
My approach recognises the young person behind the athlete. The aim is to support their emotional wellbeing, strengthen their mindset and help them approach sporting and personal challenges with greater clarity and confidence.
Give Your Young Athlete the Mental Edge
Physical training develops the body. Mental training helps develop the mindset to match.
Whether your young athlete is striving to reach the next level, working through a loss of confidence or simply looking to feel more composed and focused in competition, mental edge training can provide additional tools to support their journey.

The Mental Edge Training Programme
Session 1: Eliminating Self Sabotage
Often a troubling memory needs to be lifted that is holding the athlete back, and causing self-sabotage. Many of my athletes don’t even realise this is happening until we have a chat.
Session 2: Achieving your goals
Relax and reset your goals. In this session we will embed self-confidence triggers so that you can always perform at your best.
Session 3: Entering the Flow state
It’s time to amp up your performance. I will equip you with the mental tools and techniques to direct your focus and quickly get into your flow state.
Session 4: Mental Rehearsal - Performance for the future
Rehearse deep within the subconscious mind the perfect performance in the future – this is a powerful session and often my athlete’s favourite session.
Additional sessions available
Sometimes the athlete is in pain either from injury or accident. In a deep hypnosis, we can dial down the pain symptoms (depending on what’s going on) and then teach a self-hypnosis technique to maintain higher levels of health and wellbeing.
